Finance and Administration Manager
Job Description
As the Finance & Administration Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health and administrative operations of the organization. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and administrative functions. This role requires a strong understanding of finance, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize financial performance and support strategic objectives.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including budget variance analysis, to senior management and stakeholders.
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Monitor cash flow and financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cashflow functions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax laws, and accounting standards.
Administrative Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of administrative professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
- Manage office facilities, equipment, and supplies, ensuring a safe, productive, and welcoming work environment.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for services and supplies, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Oversee the maintenance of office infrastructure, equipment, and technology systems to support the needs of the organization.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to mitigate financial and operational risks and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments and internal audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in Finance and Administration, recommending adjustments to policies and procedures as necessary.
Strategic Planning and Analysis:
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making, investment opportunities, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic initiatives, business plans, and performance metrics.
- Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to assess the financial impact of various strategic options and investments.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; CA or CPA preferred.
- Proven experience at least 10 years in financial management, with a track record of success in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills required.
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience in managing teams and driving organizational change.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
