Our client, a medium sized organisation in the heavy industry vertical, have exclusively engaged us to find this new leader within their business. If you are looking for a highly varied and autonomous role that would see you work at group level across 21 entities on Tenders, Mergers & Acquisitions, build Financial Models & dashboards, take the lead on process & system improvements and spend time with leaders in operations (think Helicopters & Large Plant Equipment) then this is certainly worth a discussion.
Success in this role will be achieved through partnership with the CEO, CFO and Senior Leaders, aiding the growth and success of the business through developing and implementing business insights and data collection.
What Your Success Looks Like First 6 months:
- Gain a good understanding of the business and the current systems in place.
- Partner with General Managers and build fit-for-purpose dashboards to aide current and future growth.
- Fully understand each business, their requirements, and optimal systems.
- Optimize data, improve the quality and output, reporting on anomalies and trends.
- Dashboards are set up and working effectively.
- Established as a trusted advisor in the team. Receiving good feedback from GMs and other stakeholders
- Providing reliable, accurate, and valuable data and insights. Managers have the confidence to make informed business decisions.
- Alternative systems are recommended to meet business needs and objectives.
- Establish a comprehensive framework for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices.
- Assisting with tender documents and modelling.
- Delivering dashboards for acquisitions.
- Qualified accountant (CA, CPA or equivalent) with a relevant background stemming from a top tier accounting firm.
- Proven exposure as a Business/Financial Analyst.
- Numbers savvy with the ability to translate technical information into meaningful simplified insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Able to present to external stakeholders and senior internal stake holders, including the Board of Directors.
- Proven ability to build and maintain dashboards.
- A keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in data analysis.
- Proactive with a curious mindset, be a forward thinker and ability to work under pressure.
- Self-driven and reliable with a can-do attitude.
- Computer/IT savvy with advanced Excel, and modelling skills.
