Job description

About the Role

The Finance Business Partner partners with key internal stakeholders to meet Treasury requirements, secure funding, and ensure that the business prioritises and manages expenditure based on detailed financial analysis.

The role is temporary until 31 January 2025 with potential for extension.

The New South Wales Electoral Commission delivers trusted and independent systems, processes, oversight and engagement that support democracy in New South Wales. Essential requirements

As the successful candidate, you will have:

·         Relevant tertiary qualification.

·         Professional membership of an accounting body such as CPA, CA or equivalent.

·         Accounting and client relationship experience in a commercial or major accounting firm.

·         Experience managing a team.

·         Politically neutral with no affiliation to political parties or lobbyists/campaigners.

·         Satisfactory Criminal Record check result.

1.    Describe a time when you have had conflicting deadlines. How did you negotiate with stakeholders and still deliver a project within expectations (maximum 300 words)

2.    Describe your major achievement(s) in successfully managing the financial governance of a major project or event within previous roles in government or other medium or large organisations (maximum 300 words)

You should include a covering letter summarising your skills, knowledge and work experience, along with an up-to-date resume which clearly detail your skills and experience as relevant to this role.

This role is based in at our Elizabeth Street, Sydney office with a hybrid work arrangement.
