The growing portfolio currently consists of The Royal, The Standard, Dandelion, and the recently opened Busselton Pavilion.
Role
The Finance Business Partner is Parker Group’s strategic financial steward. You will establish and spearhead financial reporting strategies, cashflow forecasting, and ensuring compliance with all relevant obligations.
This newly created role will collaborate with our Head Office and Venue operational teams, providing expertise and advice through financial analysis and insights.
- A professional accounting qualification equivalent to CA/CPA.
- Strong experience with relevant tax and financial reporting obligations – payroll tax, BAS, FBT, PAYG, Superannuation, etc.
- Good grasp of finance and hospitality technology and systems including Impos, Xero, Tanda, etc.
- Experience in the hospitality or retail industry is preferrable.
This role will suit someone with hotel or retail finance experience looking to step up into a senior role.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial aspects of our four Venues, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure adherence to financial targets.
- Collaborate with the Managing Director and other cross-functional teams to develop long-term strategic plans in line with Parker Group’s vision, fostering sustainable growth and competitiveness. Prepare annual budget and forecast, and manage future project costs.
- Ensure compliance and accuracy with all relevant financial regulations, standards and policies - including BAS / payroll tax / company income tax.
- Drive sound financial and business decision making, provide leadership to our Group Bookkeeper to ensure timely payments to suppliers.
- Assist the People & Culture team for payroll calculations and checking of fortnightly payroll.
- Develop, implement and monitor appropriate policies, systems and other internal controls to ensure sound financial management across Parker Group
This role requires some travel to our other venues - two are within walking distance of our Head Office in Perth CBD, one in Karrinyup Shopping Centre and the other in Busselton.
