Our client is Sara Lee, the Sweet Heart of the Central Coast and has been for over 50 years. Established in Lisarow NSW in 1971, Sara Lee has a long history of producing delicious desserts using quality, authentic ingredients. Recently transitioning to new owners, Sara Lee is seeking a new Finance Director to join the leadership team.
About the role:
The Finance Director is critical to ensuring the next phase of growth and transformation. With new ownership and ambition to grow, the Finance Director will work with the CEO, Directors and the broader leadership team to drive efficiency across the company’s complex manufacturing and supply chain operations while working with the commercial team in driving top line revenue. This role also leads the IT function and business process enablement via ERP management. This role is both strategic and operational.
Key responsibilities include:
- Evolve people, process and systems for the Finance function to deliver financial reporting, decision support, risk management and legal obligations of the business
- Ensure quality financial information is used by the business to support decision making and advise on the financial implications of management decisions
- Provide strong financial leadership that encourages and builds collaborative business partnering and best practice finance function
- Challenge product/channel/customer portfolio, including NPD and strategic innovation and investment opportunities, to optimise cost and improve returns on commercial investment
- Drive implementation of strategic projects
- Lead and manage the Finance team to collaborate across all departments, and act as strategic liaison for external and internal partners.
About you:
This role will require a proven FD/CFO who is passionate and excited when faced with an agenda of growth, transformation, exceptional leadership, operational excellence and being a true co-pilot to a CEO – all while being based in the idyllic location of the Central Coast, NSW. Additionally, we are seeking the following:
- Proven people leader that has built exceptional teams that are business partners to rest of business
- Experience leading a finance function within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in leading change projects and business transformation, including ERP
- Proven communication, commercial acumen and strategic thinking including planning and modelling strategic initiatives
- M&A experience desirable
- CA, or CPA qualified
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.
