Are you an experienced Financial Controller / Finance Manager passionate about technical financial reporting and control and with proven skills working with a CFO to implement and improve systems and processes and contribute to their ongoing success? Your Opportunity
Reporting to the CFO of this exciting and successful SME, you will own the financial control and at the same time be there to provide ongoing and insightful commentary around results, processes and system improvement.
You will manage a small accounting and transactional team and work with them to meet reporting deadlines as well as work with the CFO and the broader business providing useful financial and management reporting information.
Your accountability will include compliance, governance, audit, cash management, import and export legalities and implications, supply chain and stock control and end to end financial, management and statutory reporting.
You must be a Financial Controller who thrives on the technical side and enjoys bringing meaning and value to a business through accurate and timely reporting and analysis.
As the role evolves, you can make it your own and you will have the chance to grow your team and also work on projects with the CFO and business owner including capital expenditure, cash flow analysis and advice, sales and marketing initiatives, systems and process improvement, audit, compliance and governance and strategic review.
Your expertise of financial control must be obvious with an emphasise on working in a complex, product based SME where you enjoy adding value cross functionally and doing all this with a continuous improvement and flexible mind set.
Your Profile
You must be CA/CPA qualified and then with proven success in a similar SME environment as the Financial Controller or Finance Manager, reporting directly to the CFO or owner.
You must also have managed a team and have remained hands on and enjoy doing the financial reporting side of the role. You must also have proven skills working with emerging and changing systems and processes.
All this has ideally been gained in a complex high volume, low value product based business like FMCG, Retail or similar and have covered diverse distribution channels, locally and overseas.

Salary very much depends on experience and a guide is $150,000 plus super negotiable for the right person.
