About the Role
Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and ethical financial functions for Auscare Support.
This is a permanent part-time role of 22.8 hours per week. Flexibility to increase hours when required would be highly regarded.
Responsibilities
- Manage the financial actions of Auscare Support
- Manage cashflow and financial planning
- Oversee accounts receivable and payable, corporate credit cards, general ledger, and integrity of accounting system data
- Analyse Auscare Supports financial strengths and weakness and propose corrective actions
- Financial and management reports to the CEO and Director of Auscare Support
- Effective management of Auscare Support finance team
- Work collaboratively with the Management Team
- Oversee the processing of all bank and credit card transactions into correct accounts on accounting software, with adherence to GST laws.
- Maintaining and updating reconciliation spreadsheets
- Oversee the administration of accounts payable and receivable functions, including the input of bills and expense receipts, processing and sending out invoices to debtors, following up outstanding debts.
- Liaising with NDIS plan managers and support coordinators about payment for support coordination services.
- Ensuring end-of-month and end-of-period accounting tasks are completed in a timely manner, including:
- Reconciling all bank accounts
- Reconciling all balance sheet accounts, and profit & loss accounts
- Providing financial reports to the organisation
- Lodgment of payroll tax returns
- Assistance with completion of quarterly BAS/IAS lodgments
- Documenting and/or establishing all core bookkeeping processes and advising on new processes.
- Provide ad-hoc administrative and bookkeeping tasks to other senior members of the organisation, including troubleshooting issues.
- Processing the organisation’s fortnightly payroll, including;
- Accounting for any leave, entitlements, and loadings
- Processing superannuation payments
- Onboarding new team members into Auscare Support’s payroll and time-tracking systems.
- Handling ad-hoc enquiries and requests for support from team members about their pay, superannuation, and related matters.
- Being a trusted advisor to the team on all things payroll and providing internal communication about any payroll-related industry or legislative changes that may affect team members or the business.
- Documenting and/or establishing all core payroll processes and advising on new processes.
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting and/or finance
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role
- Excellent financial management skills
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and supportive
- Excellent knowledge of the NDIS guidelines and price guide
- QuickBooks accounting software experience an advantage
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- 100 points of identification
- Relevant qualifications
- Relevant State’s Working with Children Check
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Full Australian working rights
