Job Description
This flexible role is available full time preferably, however part time will be considered. The duties include:
Ensuring credit approval and collection policies of the Hotel are adhered to at all times.
Ensure all in-house ledgers are constantly in balance.
Monitor the Debtors balance.
Effectively develop and monitor all financial systems for the Hotel with a view to improving and streamlining procedures.
Monitor and check all audits relating to financial standards and procedures.
Carry out checks on daily Revenues –Daily Flash Report
Action daily checks on adjustments, approval & authorization
Ensure cash handling procedures and policies of the Hotel are strictly adhered to.
Implement procedures to recover outstanding debts.
Ensure credit approval and collection policies of the Hotel are adhered to at all times.
Facilitate the End of month inventory counts, checks and sign-off on accuracy.
Reconcile Credit Card Commission, Le-Club & Booking.Com Commission.
Prepare Bank Journals & Bank Reconciliation.
Ensure accuracy and send off Recharges on time.
Qualifications
To be sucessful in this role you:
- have unlimited working rights in Australia and demonstrate a genuine passion for finance.
- have experience in processing and reconciling high volumes of accounts receivable transactions
- are currently completing or have recently finished qualifications in finance and/or accounting
- are naturally analytical and have the capacity to multi task
- you cope well under pressure and have the ability to meet tight deadlines
- you are a strong and supportive team player
- are confident in communicating with various stakeholders as this role requires you to liaise with a variety of different groups at varying levels within our organisation.
