u&u are supporting a client with a head office in Brisbane, in recruiting an experienced finance officer, who will be responsible for the end to end payables and receivables processes, working in a small finance team. With support from a junior finance officer, and reporting to the CFO, the role will also have end of month and reconciliation duties.
This role will start on a temporary employment basis, with the idea to transition the candidate to permanent after six months, assuming the team fit and performance is aligned. The ideal candidate will need to be able to start a new role within two weeks.
Responsibilities
- Collating, coding, posting and reconciling of accounts payable in a timely and professional manner;
- Preparing weekly payment runs to suppliers and managing timing of payments;
- Completing the weekly cash at bank reconciliation;
- Processing and reconciling staff credit card expenses;
- Assist in preparing month end journals and reconciliations;
- Receipt all incoming AR payments;
- Prepare invoices, ensuring approval by managers prior to issuing;
- Send reminder emails to customers for upcoming invoices due; and
- Supplier reconciliations.
About you
- At least four years' experience in an accounts payable or receivable role;
- Experience with large ERP such as Pronto, SAP, AX, 365, Netsuite;
- Eager to own the function and happy to take on additional finance duties;
- Ability to relate to all levels of employees;
- Great time management and attention to detail; and
- Proactive and energetic attitude.
