The company has a vacancy for a Permanent Full-Time experienced Payroll Officer in their Finance Team reporting to the Financial Controller.
The position encompasses processing fortnightly payroll every second Monday for circa 100 employees and requires accurate data entry along with day-to-day problem solving.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Weekly timesheet review.
- Processing weekly expense reimbursements and travel claims
- Maintaining Leave Calendar / monthly reports to supervisors
- Onboarding new employee information into MYOB
- End of month accounts functions (Leave Accruals)
- Fortnightly reconciliation and payment PAYG
- Monthly reconciliation and lodgment Payroll Tax and Superannuation.
- Annual WorkCover review
- Mentor other members of the Accounts team in all aspects of payroll
- Back up/support for other team members as required
- Collaborate with HR Manager for personnel related reports
Salary $75-85K + SGC Superannuation with a 37.5hr work week.
About you:
- Minimum Diploma of Accounting or Payroll or similar qualifications
- Three (3) years or more of payroll experience
- Experience using MYOB highly regarded
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel
- Experience with lodgment of statutory payments e.g., Payroll Tax, WorkCover, PAYG
- Experience with end of year payroll functions/STP reporting
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and deal with a high volume of work in a tight deadline environment
- Australian Citizenship, Permanent residency, or eligibility to work in Australia is a must
