We are seeking a meticulous and strategic Financial Officer to join our team.The Financial Officer will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring financial health, and providing strategic financial guidance. This role involves overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and lodgement of monthly or quarterly business activity statements (BAS), IAS and the superannuation payments on compliance date
- Oversee the company’s financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and monitor budgets and financial plans to support the company’s strategic goals.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Manage cash flow, investment strategies, and financial risk management.
- Handle accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of payments from debtors.
- Make timely payments to suppliers and ensure accurate record-keeping of all transactions.
- Ensure supplier rebates are accurately collected and recorded.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
- Implement and maintain effective financial controls and procedures.

- Supplier Rebates: Accurate and timely collection of supplier rebates.
- Cost Control: Achievement of cost-saving targets and efficient expense management.
- Compliance: Adherence to financial regulations and successful audit outcomes.
- Financial Planning: Effectiveness of financial planning and forecasting in supporting strategic goals.
- Investment Performance: Returns on investments and effectiveness of financial strategies.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CPA )
- Proven experience as a Financial Officer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulations.
- Experience in managing accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as MYOB & SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
