An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part qualified Accountant to join a growing organisation in the health services industry. Due to an internal promotion, the Financial Accountant joins a small, close-knit team reporting into the Finance Manager. This fast paced and varied role that will develop both your accounting and stakeholder engagement skills.
The Role
The Accountant position will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the finance function. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with financial reporting and analysis
- Assisting with the annual budgeting process
- Participation in the annual external Audit
- General ledger maintenance and reconciliations
- Monthly reconciliation of key P&L and balance sheet accounts
- Preparation of all taxation compliance (Payroll Tax, GST, FBT)
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Support with fortnightly payroll and associated staff records
- Assistance with the development of Internal Controls
- Assisting staff to understand and comply with Internal Controls and systems.
- Assist with maintaining Fixed Assets Registers
Your Profile
You will have a relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting and be working towards completion of your CA/CPA studies. You will have a minimum of three years' Accounting experience in an accounting related role and have strong interpersonal skills. The role is based out of a brand new, state of the art office environment in Abbotsford, 4-day per week. Interviews taking place for this role ASAP!
