Your New Role
In this exciting role, you will work closely with the Financial Controller and be a valued member of our team at both our South Melbourne Head Office and our Dandenong South Warehouse. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the completion of financial statements and compliance with taxation requirements. Collaborating with our finance team, you will contribute to daily, monthly, and annual tasks, and actively contribute to policy development and process enhancements.
You will lead month-end procedures, prepare financial statements, support tax and audit activities, and drive process improvements with our technology partners. Your expertise will shape accounting policies and provide technical support, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations.
Your Day to Day
- Complete month-end procedures and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare annual financial statements and support tax and audit activities.
- Lead process design and implementation for efficient month-end close.
- Develop and document accounting policies, ensuring team compliance.
- Provide technical support and collaborate with the Finance team.
What You Need
- CA or CPA qualification with at least four years of accounting experience.
- Experience in Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firms, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of taxation, audit, and statutory requirements.
- Exposure to Net Suite ERP is advantageous.
- Skills in accounting, internal controls, process improvement, and stakeholder management.
