LET'S EXPLORE THE ROLE
This is a dual role, assisting both the Financial Reporting and Commercial Finance team (15 days / 5 days per month) as a 9-month FTC / Secondment.
This role is key for the Financial Reporting team to support the annual statutory financial statements process and audit and provide key support around the month end process for corporate entities. Further within the Commercial Finance Team, the role will support the financial planning and reporting processes of BAI Communications, will provide insights into business performance of Service Delivery, Service Assurance and Health and Safety, and make recommendations to support BAI Communications in achieving its strategic and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Treasury
- Month end journals and balance sheet reconciliations for corporate, finance and holding companies, assist with intercompany reconciliations, provide support around AASB 16 Leases accounting and documentation and around treasury cashflow forecasting.
- Provide support and input for quarterly reporting: quarterly group consolidations, and treasury compliance certificates and analytics.
- Provide support around annual statutory financial statements (4) and year end audits
Planning & Reporting and Commercial Finance
- Develop and provide the BAI Executive team with timely, high quality financial planning, reporting, analysis, insights and recommendations to achieve business outcomes that has a focus on Service Delivery, Service Assurance and Health and Safety.
- Provide support to the General Managers of Service Delivery, Service Assurance and Health and Safety in the financial planning and monthly analysis of their cost centres and capital spend.
LET'S HEAR ABOUT YOU
- Intermediate experience in financial accounting, journals, reconciliations, financial statement disclosures
- Strong commercial / Commercial experience.
- Strategic and operational experience with Finance practices, standards, systems and processes
- Advanced Reporting and presenting skills.
- Experience of dealing with project accounting, bid support, capital projects.
- Degree qualified professional qualification - ACA/CPA (preferred)
- At least 3 to 5 years' Management experience in Finance, Investment Banking or related industry - preferably within the services sector including Telecommunications, IT, Broadcasting or organisations with proven growth records.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years practical experience in a Finance/Accounting area - financial accounting/reporting, financial planning, reporting and control
- Prior experience in Financial accounting/reporting FP&A, planning and Business Partnering roles highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
