As our new Financial Accountant for KFC South Pacific, reporting to our Assistant Financial Controller, you will assist our Financial Control and Commercial Finance teams in financial reporting, accounting controls, and field support. 

ABOUT YOU – OUR NEXT ORIGINAL

• Tertiary Qualification in accounting/finance.
• Completing or completed CA or CPA.
• Proven accounting/finance experience, including commercial exposure.
• Proficiency in IFRS 16 lease accounting (ideal).
• Experience leading a small team (ideal).
• Ability to effectively convey complex financial information to varying stakeholders.
• Self-starter with the ability maintain composure under pressure or when working to deadlines.
• Detail-oriented and analytical.
• Customer-focused with integrity.
• Spreadsheet and systems proficiency.
• Positive attitude for collaborative culture.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF YOUR NEW ROLE

• Analyse KFC restaurant and market variances for sales, food, labour, and costs with Planning Department. 
• Prepare periodic internal and external management reports. 
• Create and communicate Product Cost Analysis (PCA) reports on food wastage to Planning Team and KFC Market/Area managers. 
• Review periodic PCA results for accurate cost entries. 
• Manage timely responses to P&L queries. 
• Oversee KFC balance sheet reconciliation and control. 
• Review lease accounting function under US GAAP and Australia IFRS 16. 
• Assist in policy administration, system maintenance, and controls for compliance.
• Identify opportunities, issues in business unit, particularly in field reporting.
• Recruit, train, develop staff for efficient financial accounting functions. 
• Handle other duties, ad hoc projects as assigned by Assistant Financial Controller.
