We are now scaling operations, bringing products to global markets, and expanding our product development pipeline to meet the demand from our global customers.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to manage the company's day-to-day financial operations reporting to our VP, Admin & Finance. This role will assist in the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and accurate financial accounting, management accounting, and statutory reporting services. Ensuring records are managed efficiently and effectively in line with the IAS (International Accounting Standards), GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and legislative requirements.
This will be a hybrid role with days onsite to be discussed. We encourage everyone to be in the office where they can but understand everyone has different preferences and needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Full-cycle accounting and management of day-to-day financial activities
- Oversee fortnightly payroll processing
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
- Update weekly cashflow projections
- Preparation of tax compliance across BAS, FBT, and Workcover
- Support external audit and year-end reporting
- Maintain current compliance with internal controls and procedures
- Management of Insurance claims and renewals
- Drive continuous improvement of systems and processes.
- Assist with purchasing as required
- Ad hoc analysis and reporting across projects and to assist the wider business
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor or Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 3 years Accountant level experience
- Advanced Xero and Excel and/or Google Sheets user
- Demonstrated ability to be agile in a changing, fast-paced team environment
- Ability to thrive working on multiple projects and initiatives
- Exceptional interpersonal, writing, and time management skills
- Advanced technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to apply sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate analyses and the ability to see the "big picture" in a complex and dynamic environment
Desirable but not Essential:
- Experience and background in technology or emerging R&D oriented companies
- CPA or CA
- International currency and cross border entity relationships
