The opportunity
This position will be reporting into the CFO, but on the daily, you will be leading our Finance division whilst partnering with our Consultants, Project Managers, Leaders and Directors to play a vital role in overseeing our financial activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic business alignment. Our Financial team make up part of our Group Services team and at LAB3, you'll find that here is where numbers meet innovation!
- Drive financial excellence with strategic insights as you empower a team who oversee all internal financial operations.
- Day to day, you will monitor and manage cash flow to meet operational needs. This will see you provide accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements including fixed assets and general ledger activities.
- Conduct financial analysis, identify trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making and goal attainment.
- Collaborate with external auditors and coordinate internal audits to validate financial information and ensure transparency.
- Work closely with executive leadership to align financial strategies with overall business objectives and contribute to long-term planning.
- Oversee and ensure precision across Accounts Payable, Receivable, and Billings teams, managing vendor bills, reconciliations, and debtor finance through digital processes. Additionally, streamline operations by uploading client invoices into third-party portals such as Ariba and Microsoft.
- Ensure meticulous financial record-keeping by maintaining journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and overseeing payroll processing. Handle comprehensive reporting tasks, encompassing BAS, FBT, GST, and Payroll Tax, while executing accruals, prepayments, and general journals for thorough financial management.
