Financial Controller

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Financial Controller to join our Management team. The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. This role will play a critical role in driving the financial success and strategic growth of our company.
 

Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
- Analyse financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making and performance improvement initiatives to our SLT.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial KPIs.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies as needed.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes to inform financial strategies and mitigate risks.
- Mentor and develop finance team members to ensure a high level of performance and professional growth.
 

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CA certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, preferably in the foodservice distribution or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Pronto ERP system).
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
