About the role:
Based in Sunshine West, the Financial Controller will be reporting to the CEO and will be managing the accounting function in several ways.
Key Responsibilities:
The Financial Controller is expected to perform a variety of tasks which include:
- Develop and execute financial strategies that align with organisational short term and long term goals
- Focus on complete cashflow forecasting, working capital and business analysis.
- Provide leadership to the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high performance culture
- Cross functional meetings, work flow and process improvement initiatives
- Drive financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes
- Establish a data driven approach to key metrics, profitability analysis and cost optimisation
- Manage financial reporting and tax functions
- Implement effective risk management strategies and ensure compliance with company policies, government energy efficiency schemes and regulations
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders including investors, bank, auditors and regulatory authorities
Requirements:
To be successful, the candidate will need the following attributes:
- Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role. Minimum 10 years of experience in finance or accounting, at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Strong strategic and analytical mindset
- MBA or CPA qualification preferred
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong financial analysis and modelling skills
- Experience in FMCG, logistics or fast paced environments preferred
