The company has ambitious growth plans, aiming to double in size within the next 3-5 years.
The Role
As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of the company. You will oversee financial operations, provide strategic advice, and engage in commercial finance and business partnering. This multifaceted role requires a balance of financial expertise and strategic insight to drive business performance. You will also manage a team of up to 8 direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage the finance department, ensuring efficient and accurate financial reporting.
· Develop and maintain robust financial controls and processes.
· Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
· Provide strategic recommendations to the senior management team based on financial analysis and projections.
· Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations.
· Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
· Manage cash flow, treasury, and risk management functions.
· Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
· Engage in commercial finance activities, including pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and financial risk assessment.
· Act as a business partner to various departments, offering financial insights to support strategic decisions.
· Manage and mentor a team of up to 8 direct reports, fostering a high-performance culture.
Your Skills & Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. CA or equivalent certification preferred.
· Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
· Strong knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and local GAAP.
· Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
· Excellent leadership and team management skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Proficient in CargoWise ERP system.
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
