Founded in Australia during the Global Pandemic of 2020, Farm & Yard is the home of high-quality pet and animal housing, accessories, food and treats.
Originally launched as "Aussie Dog Kennels" with just one product, our 2-bay raised dog kennel, Farm & Yard quickly grew to over 550 retail placements, 4 more top-line products, 1000’s of units sold and scores of happy customers.
Now also operating in the USA, Farm & Yard is rapidly expanding our international footprint and sales while adding more products and options.
About the Role
Working directly with a solid and proven team, you'd be a pivotal member of the executive implementing a growth plan to take Farm & Yard to a multi-9-figure annual revenue over the next 5 years.
More than a back-office function, this role would be heavily involved with the decision-making process and real-world flow-through of financial and planning directions.

- have a pragmatic approach and be willing to operate in both a hands-on and executive capacity
- enjoy the challenge and satisfaction of building a business in a truly fast-paced, high-growth environment
- have attention to detail, but also an ability to see the big picture
- have experience working in a fast-paced + multi-national + multi-channel business
- be an experienced CFO or an FC/Head of Finance looking to grow into a CFO role
- have a friendly, open and positive outlook
Encompassing typical aspects of a FC/CFO position, the role would also have scope to lead and optimise others:
- leading and managing a small but growing accounts team
- financial reporting, forecasting & budgeting, cash flow
- AR/AP
- tax and other compliance requirements - both locally and internationally
- ERP and inventory control
- setting and managing accounting and other processes

Work from Home:
Our widespread, international team is 100% work from home. Where we have clusters of people we get together, so if you're in Brisbane that's fantastic, so are many of our Australian-based team!
Salary/Remuneration:
Salary is negotiable along with equity participation and other incentives.
Hours/Position:
The position is advertised as full-time, but we'd consider all options for the right person.
