About the role
We are not just searching for an accountant or bookkeeper, we are looking for a business partner to control and manage the finances of the hotel and think and act like you own the business. Making decisions in conjunction with the General Manager and the Hotel Owners.
This is a hands on role where you will rewarded by the hotel exceeding it's financial outcomes by collaboration with every member of the family.
This role includes meeting statutory requirements, financial management KPI's, corporate reporting, budgeting, forecasting, payroll, cash flow projections and evaluating and improving systems and procedures.
Skills and experience
You will be a dynamic accounting professional, seeking their next Finance Manager role or a seasoned financial professional looking for an opportunity to step up to the position of Financial Manager from commercial or chartered financial accounting.
Inquisitive by nature, this role will provide you with the opportunity of exploring how you can make a difference to current financial reporting, and the chance to introduce business improvement initiatives and related processes.
The experience required to bring to the position includes:
- 5+ years post qualified experience
- Previous experience within a similar Financial Controller or senior financial accounting role
- Up to date knowledge of accounting standards; HIGA, industrial awards
- Experience in developing, assessing risk & improving financial governance and control for end-to-end processes;
- Knowledge of Opera Cloud, Employment Hero, Lightyear is desirable
- Tertiary qualifications in commerce, accounting or business; and
- CA / CPA qualification.
