Infrastructure Design and Planning Manager

Location – Parramatta/Hybrid

Employment type – We have 3x 11-month temporary vacancies (2x Full-time/Temporary and 1x Part-time/Temporary)

Salary – GR 9/10 ($120,859.00 - $133,183.00 pa, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading)

Your role

The Infrastructure Design and Planning Manager leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex DCJ Infrastructure projects. Additionally, this role is responsible for leading a small and highly driven team.

What you’ll do

As a Manager within the Infrastructure Design and Planning team, you will leverage your experience in architecture and/or design to deliver DCJ Infrastructure Projects.

Working across all stages of a project, you will utilise DCJ’s Design Guidelines and work closely with key stakeholders and external consultants to understand requirements, provide design advice and develop design documentation to support our clients in new ways of working and achieving organisational objectives. . Additionally, to aid delivery and continuous improvement of our projects and Design Guidelines, you will utilise your Design and project management expertise to undertake research, formulating design recommendations to support evidence based best practice and a more streamlined and efficient project delivery. You will look for opportunities and apply an innovative approach to problem solving, keeping a focus on evolving risks, and known issues, considering financial, safety and time impacts in recommendations you make for resolution. You will be solutions focused and provide advice on the most efficient methods of procurement, Design and construction that achieve value for money.

What we’re looking for

  • You have previous experience in a design role within workplace Design and/or construction with a commitment to sustainable, inclusive and accessible design.
  • You have previous experience in developing design documentation including full documentation sets and developing design standards.
  • You are proficient at using excel and Computer Aided Design (CAD). REVIT will be highly regarded.
  • You have lead design projects from concept to completion, providing you with an understanding of Design and the delivery process.
  • Demonstrated experience providing examples of innovation and creativity in solving complex work problems, collaborating with multiple stakeholders to meet competing priorities and needs.
  • Ability to complete own work tasks under guidance within set budgets, timeframes, and standards.
