Description
The Financial Services Coordinator will lead on-
- Coordination of the Finance, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.
- Support successful business partnerships with key internal stakeholders and identify improvements to financial performance.
- Support innovation and the development of efficient processes and technology by the team and within Council relating to Financial Services.
- Provide oversight and management of Councils capital works program.
- Support good governance of Council by ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of regulatory, statutory and management financial reporting, including preparation of:
-Annual Statements of Accounts;
-Annual Budget
-Long Term Financial Plan;
-Monthly finance report;
-Routine Budget performance monitoring;
-External agency returns including; Grants Commission and Essential Services Commission Returns;
-Accounting and acquittal statements for funding received by Council;
- FBT and GST process.
- Provide systems administration and staff training on financial applications such as Technology One.
- Provide oversight of treasury functions including investment of surplus cash funds and loan portfolio management.
- Revision of relevant finance policies.
Profile
The Financial Services Coordinator will require-
- CA/CPA Qualification
- Previous experience of Tech1 - desirable but not essential
- A track record in supporting or managing a team previously
- A passion to support a Local Government - experience across the sector would be beneficial
Job Offer
The client is offering the range of $100,000- $110,000 package plus 1 RDO per month.
