Northline are looking for a Fleet Controller to join our small, dynamic Fleet Team in Kenwick.
As a Fleet Controller, you will be responsible for the management of Northline’s PUD Fleet scheduling, optimising fleet performance and maintaining high levels of service for Northline’s customers.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone who has previous exposure to Transport & Logistics and is looking to further develop their skills in the Fleet space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimise pick-up and delivery service (PUD) through effective and efficient planning and scheduling;
- Prepare and review driver runsheets for productivity and compliance purposes to minimise costs and time lost;
- Ensure communication between the Fleet team, Drivers and Loaders on all delivery/pick-up matters;
- Arrange for deliveries inside and outside of normal schedules;
- Manage and monitor Drivers’ daily runs to ensure that all deliveries are completed in a timely manner, in line with customer expectation as well as safety and compliance guidelines;
- Manage PUD contractor base including conducting audits for Dangerous Goods, Load Restraint and Vehicle Compliance.
As the successful candidate you will have:
- Demonstrated experience using a computerised dispatch system and Microsoft Office suite;
- Excellent planning abilities with high attention to detail;
- A customer centric-approach to problem solving;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Effective time-management skills coupled with resilience, adaptability and the ability to multitask;
- Comprehensive understanding of Chain of Responsibility compliance;
- An understanding of Load Restraint Guidelines, Knowledge of Dangerous Goods and Fatigue Management for Commercial Vehicle Drivers advantageous.
