Fleet Manager

As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we are seeking a dynamic Fleet Manager to lead our fleet management services and contribute to our strategic and operational goals.

Position Overview: As the Fleet Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and implementing our organizational fleet management strategy. Reporting to the Corporate Services Manager Assets, you will oversee the transition from a fully owned fleet to a fully leased fleet, while ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality in fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. Managing the outsourced fleet provider contract to optimize fleet utilization.
2. Overseeing daily fleet operations, including administration of the pool booking system, fuel card management, reporting, and processing traffic infringements and insurance claims.
3. Controlling operating costs to enhance fleet cost-effectiveness.
4. Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
5. Establishing and maintaining a catalogue of commercial fleet vehicle products and services.
6. Designing, implementing, and managing contracts, systems, processes, policies, and procedures related to fleet management.
7. Handling internal and external fleet-related inquiries and issue escalations.
8. Coordinating the implementation of fleet safety initiatives to reduce insurance premiums.

Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should possess:

• Proven experience in fleet management or related field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to optimize fleet utilization and control costs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with stakeholders effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement fleet management strategies and initiatives.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in fleet management.
