AddressMercure Townsville is a resort style hotel located close to the city and 2km from the airport. Set lakeside amidst 11 acres of lush tropical gardens, the hotel offers 174 spacious, well-appointed rooms, with views across the lake or pool or through the gardens. The property boasts the largest hotel freeform swimming pool in Townsville, with a spa and an area for children, as well as tennis courts, a poolside restaurant and award winning conference facilities for up to 380 people. You will be overseeing our Food and Beverage Venues, Rooms Service and Conferencing including:
- Celsius Restaurant
- Room Service
- Hotel Conferencing
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar leadership position, a flare for creativity and passion for people and service/experiences. They must be able to multitask at a high level whist developing individual team members and the team as a whole. You will also have a hands-on management style and flexible work ethic.
As the Food and Beverage Manager you will:
- Lead the Food & Beverage team in a hands-on manner, ensuring a consistent and proactive approach
- Owning, creating and driving revenue
- Design, cost and implement innovative menus incorporating both Accor standards and Standalone Venue positioning
- Order & stock control
- Maintain Food, Beverage and wage costs in line with budget
- Maintain current knowledge on food trends and competitors
- Proactively set, implement and review service standards P&P expectations
- Maintain and improve safety & hygiene standards across the food and beverage outlets
- Employee recruitment, training and development including - people succession planning for sustainable success
- Proactively create unique experiences tailored to the our loyalty guests, visitors, and clients.
