The Opportunity

Our client is a Private Equity backed financial services business. They are a market leader with a unique company culture and employee proposition which has enabled them to attract the best talent in Sydney. Headquartered in the Sydney CBD, the business has grown significantly both organically and through M&A. 
  
This FP&A Analyst opportunity will suit an individual from the retail banking or financial services sector with strong commercial analysis/FP&A skills, and who has significant exposure to financial models. The role may also suit a first mover out of the Big 4 with FS clients or from the M&A/TS/Deals teams.

The Challenge

Reporting to FC and CFO, your responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to: 

• Own and maintain the planning and forecast model
• Own the preparation of monthly board reports
• Analysis of monthly results providing insights on variances to budget
• Continuously develop and implement initiatives to improve the integrity and reporting of financial analysis and planning information and systems.
• Support M&A as required
• Ad hoc analysis for executives as required
• Continuously update skill set, expertise, and technical knowledge by attending the required workshops and courses
• Actively participate in Finance and non-Finance led projects that make system enhancements to improve processes

Ad hoc analysis on financial and non-financial data as required

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• Preferably, you are a CA and started your career with a leading chartered accounting firm and have since worked in industry for 12+ months, likely in a top bank, FS, or lending business
• Possibly, you are a Manager/Senior Manager at a leading chartered accounting firm with excellent modelling skills and are looking for your first move into industry. 
• Possibly, you are a qualified CPA with extensive FP&A experience in a banking, lending, or financial services business.
