The Claremont Hotel is excited to announce that we are looking for a Full Time Chef to join us in our busy Bistro. The Mont if full of life, with darts, meats raffles, pool table and Happy Hour, The Mont is a favourite place for locals to meet for a good bistro meal or just to catch up with family and friends.

What the role looks like

Working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and under the supervision of the Head Chef, you will be responsible for a variety of culinary tasks, including but not limited to:

• Food Preparation
• Assisting with cost management
• Ensuring food health and safety compliance
• General cleaning and maintenance
• Menu Planning
• Assisting with inventory and ordering

Successful candidates will have a trade qualification as well as:

• A passion for food, coupled with a dedication to providing exceptional service
• Previous experience in pub/bistro-style dining (preferred but not essential)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Enthusiasm and commitment
• The ability to work under pressure and multitask
• Reliability and flexibility, with a commitment to working a variety of shifts, including day, night, and weekend shifts.
