Salary“BILLY'S” Restaurant is a Greek and Mediterranean restaurant located in Dural, North Western Sydney. BILLY'S at Dural, has been open for 9 years and has been serving up extraordinarily flavoursome Mediterranean specialities.
The restaurant is open 6 days a week (Mondays closed) offering lunch and dinner, as well as a takeaway menu.
We are currently hiring a FULL TIME CHEF at our restaurant in Dural.
Primary duties and responsibilities
1. Responsible for preparing and cooking food according to established recipes and standards including tasks such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, sautéing, grilling and baking ingredients.
2. Responsible for checking stock levels, butchering, pastry cooking, salad preparation and pan cooking.
3. Assisting Head Chef with food preparation, cooking and plating up meals to be served to customers.
4. Must have a thorough understanding of Food Safety and OH&S standards. Adhering to strict sanitation and Food Safety Guidelines to prevent foodborne illnesses. Always ensuring a clean and hygienic kitchen environment by proper storage of ingredients, regular cleaning of equipment, surfaces, and maintaining temperature controls.
5. Use culinary creativity to develop new dishes or add variations to traditional recipes to keep the menu fresh and exciting for customers.
6. Must have a full knowledge and understanding of food intolerances to accommodate special orders, eg., dietary restrictions, and ensuring customer satisfaction
7. Keeping up to date information with the industry trends and developing new and innovative menu items. ·
