ABOUT Shine Inspire Achieve Belong Inc.
SHINE Inspire Achieve Belong Inc. was founded in 2010 and provides complementary education programs for girls and young women in the Midwest region of Western Australia. These programs focus on supporting girls at risk of disengaging from the mainstream education system because of personal disruption to, disconnection from, or discontinuity with the school curriculum and community.
We provide two key programs (SHIMMER and SHINE) that aim to increase girls and young women's social and emotional well-being and re-engage them in education and community life. SHINE creates a safe space where girls can be themselves, be inspired, experience achievement, and gain a sense of belonging with peers facing similar issues.
SHINE partners with businesses, community organisations, and schools to develop multi-faceted life skills programs and opportunities for female students. Through the collaboration of partners, we have supported more than 1300 girls and young women over the past 13 years.
The organisation is funded through federal and state government contracts and corporate sponsorships. Our volunteer Board is comprised of professionals based in Perth and the Midwest region.
