About the role
In the role of General Manager, you will in addition to managing the day-to-day operations of the Glenfield Fresh IGA Store, be responsible for:
- Delivering consistent, outstanding customer service
- Creating a team environment which supports leadership, flexibility and focusses on co-operation, managing relationships and personal development.
- Implementing performance metrics, benchmarks, and evaluation frameworks
- Integrating the mission and values into every store activity
- Providing a competitively priced product range that meets the need of the community
- Delivering a sustainable return to the store owners
- Utilising current best practise principles
You will collaborate closely with the Owners, and participate in strategic and operational planning, to ensure that services are of high quality and effectively aligned with key performance indicators.
This position holds significant leadership responsibilities and is instrumental in driving continuous improvement. In keeping with these responsibilities, a generous remuneration package will be offered which will include a performance-based bonus.
About you
Your outstanding ability to communicate and solve problems, along with your general management expertise, will play a vital role in successfully overseeing a wide range of responsibilities. You will have the ability to work autonomously to achieve agreed outcomes.
You will already have built a track record in a leadership role within the grocery retail services or aligned sector. Experience in operating Point of Sale systems, in particular Smart Retail, is an essential pre-requisite.
Importantly, you should possess personal drive and ambition, along with strategic thinking abilities and exceptional interpersonal skills. Demonstrated success in financial and asset management, customer service, quality assurance, and marketing and promotion, coupled with strong leadership acumen, is essential.
