General Manager
Club Summary:Club Turramurra is located on Sydney’s North Shore and has approximately 1,600 members and a long history in the community. In addition to its core lawn bowling activities, the club prides itself on having built a solid reputation for providing a family-friendly, value for money, community-focused venue.
Over recent years, the Club has experienced significant growth off the back of a great food offering, a range of craft beers, a very popular Trivia Night, weekly live music events and strong connections with sports and other community groups.
Role Summary:The position of General Manager reports to a Board of Directors and is responsible for the overall delivery of the Club’s strategic plan. The role is a hands-on one and is supported by a part time Administration Officer and a Bar Manager, with a number of casual bar staff completing the team.
The General Manager is key to the ongoing success of the Club and implementing growth strategies is an essential skill for this role as is financial acumen and a high level of compliance and operational expertise.
Skills and ExperienceMandatory:
To be considered for this position,you must be able to demonstrate your ability to;
- Prepare monthly Board papers and work to a strategic plan
- Utilise your proven financial knowledge to analyse financial statements and report on the Club's performance to the Board
- Lead from the front, ensuring customer service is a team priority
- Use your social media and other marketing skills to promote the Club
- Build community and commercial relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
- Communicate with and influence internal and external stakeholders
The following will be highly regarded but not essential:
- Prior experience in the Club Industry. However, transferable skills gained from other industries will also be recognized
- Formal qualifications
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector in a senior position
- Experience reporting to a board of directors

Salary & Benefits:
The salary on offer is dependent on the qualifications, experience and skills of the successful candidate. As a guide, remuneration will be broadly commensurate with the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award for this full time, permanent position.
