Whiddon is seeking a new General Manager, People & Culture (P&C) to join their team as a key member of their Senior Leadership Team. Working closely with the executive team, the General Manager, P&C will act as a key conduit between the broader P&C team and the wider business, ensuring continuous improvement across all employee-related matters. This person will be relied upon to provide comprehensive advice on employee and industrial relations, oversee enterprise agreements and support organisational change initiatives and People & Culture strategies in close collaboration with the executive team.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Executive Manager, People & Culture the General Manager, P&C will lead a team of five individuals overseeing almost 3,000 employees across the organisation. This role will engage in close collaboration with both the leadership team and employees to address a wide spectrum of HR-related matters,
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Enhancing the newly established business partnering model
- Ensuring confidence in dealings across the complex industrial landscape
- Prioritise a contemporary WHS & Wellbeing culture
About You
For this appointment, we are seeking a seasoned leader with a proven track record in facilitating and guiding teams through continuous improvements across employee relations, industrial relations, organisational change, and People & Culture strategies. In an organisation known for innovation and the betterment of Aged Care services, we are looking for a leader with the willingness to lead initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and fostering a positive workplace culture.
In addition, the successful candidate will have;
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in human resources management or other relevant fields and/or equivalent experience.
- Proven capability in facilitating the implementation of various people and culture projects and initiatives, encompassing employee and industrial relations, compensation, leadership, performance.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders at all levels to deliver on organisational goals and priorities.
- Proficiency in leadership and coaching, along with a demonstrated capacity for taking initiative.
