General Manager - Residential Builder

To usher in an new era of success, we are seeking an experienced General Manager to drive the next phase of growth.

The Role

This role will see you run the day-to-day operations of the business whilst creating and implementing the short & long-term strategy for the company. You’ll be supported by an experienced Senior Management team with excellent tenure in their roles, as well as benefit from long-standing relationships with key suppliers and contractors across all regions.

The Person

• Proven leadership experience of companies with turnover of $50m-$100m
• GM or similar level role within a Residential building company within Australia
• Excellent knowledge of Residential Construction and new home building; Workflow management and expertise across each stage of the building process – Sales, Marketing, Estimating, Drafting, Construction
• Well-developed financial management skills, ability to understand and manage P+L’s and create detailed budget and cost forecasts
• Exceptional leadership and people management skills, and proven ability to operate with a sense of autonomy
• Demonstrated success building trust, rapport and engagement with an established Senior Management Team
• Knowledge and improvement of systems & processes to maximise efficiencies across multiple departments
• Highly adaptable communication and leadership style to bring the best out people at all levels
• Highly organised, detail orientated and able to observe and consider the day-to-day activities in line with the longer-term vision & strategy
• A growth-orientated leader with the capability, expertise and energy to lead from the front

• $250,000 + Super + Bonus/Shares
