In this Geologist position, you’ll support the Mine Engineering & Stability team from our beautiful Perth office. Demonstrate your hard rock and operational experience, while undertaking geological modelling and resource estimation for a range of commodities.

What you’ll do:Supporting geological modelling and resource estimation for a range of commodities;Undertake geological and geotechnical investigations including desktop and field investigations;Interpretation of geological and geotechnical data, performing analysis and drawing conclusions/recommendations primarily for input into geological models;Support site drilling activities;Undertake geological and geotechnical logging;Undertake statistical and geostatistical analysis of data;Support preparation of proposals, tenders, memorandums, reports and other technical deliverables;Identify safety hazards, report OH&S incidents and conduct all work in a safe manner;Conduct all work to satisfy all company, client and government conditions, policies, procedures, regulations and standards. About you:Bachelor of Science degree in Geology or related discipline;Demonstrated experience in one of the industry accepted mine planning and geology software packages e.g. Vulcan, Leapfrog, Surpac or Datamine highly desirable;Experience within a mining environment will be highly regarded;Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills;Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team of professionals;Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detailAbout WSPWSP is one of the world's leading engineering professional services consulting firms, bringing together approximately 5,000 talented people across 14 offices in Australia.
