Who we are looking for
We're looking for someone with either GIS experience, or wishing to begin their career in GIS, to fulfill an ongoing part-time position in our Asset Information team.
Our Geographical Information System (GIS) is used to map our infrastructure, identify properties impacted by outages, and plan for maintenance and renewal works among a range of other tasks.
This role will be based in Warrnambool but the successful applicant would have the opportunity to take up a variety of flexible working arrangements. A salary of $63,309 to $82,269 p.a. pro rata plus superannuation is dependent on skills and experience.
What you'll be doing
On a day-to-day basis, you'll be:
- Mapping and entering plans into the GIS database.
- Actioning workflows from a variety of sources.
- Maintaining data integrity conducting data audits.
- Providing information and advice to stakeholders.
- Capturing GPS points to validate asset locations.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone with the following essential skills
- Proficiency with computer literacy and the ability to adapt to new programs.
- Ability to adapt to evolving work requirements and a willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
- Attention to detail with thoroughness in reviewing work.
- Adhering to guidelines, protocols and standard operating procedures.
While not essential, a strong applicant may also have the following experiences
- Strong skills in map-based applications and spatial information data.
- Use of corporate asset management systems.
- An understanding of asset management principles.
