Public Sector People are currently inviting applications from suitably qualified GIS Officers for an immediate temporary contract role with a Victorian local council. The position involves working on the Kerb & Channel segmentation project. The role also encompasses mapping layback kerbs for on-street parking, distinguishing between standard single road and dual carriageway kerbs, and addressing recent threshold/raised segment separations.
The GIS Officer will contribute to the ongoing accuracy review of road polylines and polygons in collaboration with RMIT students. The ideal candidate will have: Relevant tertiary qualification. Previous GIS / Spatial Analyst experience within the public sector.
Strong written and oral communication skills. An ability to be part of a working team. An ability to respond to changing priorities and able to complete tasks within tight timeframes.
