Form of workGoonyella Mine are seeking experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technicians to join our crew.
About the Role
Goonyella Riverside is a large open cut coal mine in the Bowen Basen. The Goonyella Mine merged with the adjacent Riverside open cut mine in 1989. Goonyella is a reasonably large mine taking 30-40 minutes to drive from one end to the other and unlike some of the other mines it is made up of continuous pits, not a series of small pits.
This role is offered on a rotating day and night shift Lifestyle Roster pattern arrangement.
About the Role
Working within the Mechanical Maintenance team you will be carrying out preventive, general maintenance, including repair work and attending to break downs as required.
At Goonyella Riverside Mine we have two wash plants and you can be working across both wash plants at any time.
In this role you will:
Comply to and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively everyday
Inspect, diagnose, service and repair a wide range of mechanical equipment
Attend to breakdowns of equipment as required.
Utilise computerised maintenance management systems (SAP)
Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the workshops and at the job front
Undertake training and upskilling as per role requirement
Exhibit a continuous improvement mindset
Be a committed team player
- Australian recognised Mechanical Trade qualifications (essential)
- Experience working in Fixed Plant maintenance
- Previous experience working in fixed plant maintenance (preferred but not essential)
- Computer literacy and experience in 1SAP or similar applications
- Current full C Class Drivers License
