About this Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Graduate Accountant based at our Australian Head Office in Wingfield, SA.
As a member of the AU Group Finance & Admin Team, reporting to the AU Group Finance Manager, this role will be responsible for:
- Participate in the preparation of profit and loss accounts and monthly reports
- Assisting with preparation of the annual budget
- Collaborating with the Finance & Admin team on accounting and financial systems projects
- Assisting with reconciliations of accounts
- Verifying financial statements, ledgers and accounts and making corrections where appropriate
- Posting general ledger journals accurately and on a timely basis
- Prepare BAS returns and other legislative compliance reports
- Supporting the CFO, AU Group Finance Manager and wider finance team as required
- Provide administrative support to the CFO on our Legal compliance program
About You
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Currently studying or recently completed an accounting, business or commerce degree
- Advanced Excel skills, ability to work with lookups and pivot tables.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Sound organisational skills and an ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Discretion and an ability to maintain sensitive information and figures
- A passion for continuous improvement
Salary for this role will be negotiated in line with skills and experience.
