Due to upcoming acquisitions and business growth, we are looking for someone to join our team who can confidently assist with the finances of our dedicated Duxton Pubs portfolio. Duxton Pubs is one of the fastest growing locally owned and operated hospitality groups in Australia. With 25 hotels in our portfolio, this is truly an exciting time to be joining Duxton.
In this role, you will be supported to work on various elements of the business including assisting with financials, operations, and contributing to best practice accounting management!
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Weekly Trading Reports, including Weekly Sales Revenue, Wages and COGS;
- Month end including Balance Sheet reconciliations and journal entries;
- Maintenance of fixed asset registers for venues;
- Preparation of monthly financial reports including balance sheet, profit and loss, variance reporting, and other reports;
- Liaising with venues to ensuring stocktakes are completed and performing monthly stock reconciliations;
- Business activity statements, instalment activity statements and other ATO reporting;
- Assist in annual budgets, and ongoing forecasts; and
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and venue staff regarding financial matters.
About You:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or similar;
- Minimum 1 year experience in an finance or accounting related role;
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills;
- Knowledge of accounting standards and financial principles and practices;
- Full Australian working rights;
- Working knowledge of financial software e.g., Xero preferred but not essential; and
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to problem solve and work collaboratively.
