AddressBright Light Agribusiness (BLA) is one of the largest private owners of Almond farms in Regional Victoria and is an integrated almond producer that operates a state-of-the-art almond processing facility. The Company is currently experiencing tremendous growth and is looking to expand its finance team. About the role:
This is a full-time role and is ideal for an aspiring accountant who is starting out in their career. You will be working within a close-knit team to provide support to various business functions.
Specific tasks include the following:
- Handle all aspects of Accounts Receivable and Payable including recording transactions and reconciliation of balances.
- Prepare/process payments and conduct daily bank reconciliations.
- Reconciliation of inter-company balances
- Record daily transactions and complete the posting process to various accounts.
- Assist in the annual forecast and budget process.
- Assist in preparing Business Activity Statements.
- Assist in compiling/generating/preparing information required by tax agents and/or external auditors. The candidate is expected to be actively involved during the annual audit process.
- General administration of documents and compliance with regulatory requirements (ASIC, SRO and ATO)
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
The successful candidate should possess the following:
- A recent graduate with a bachelors degree in the field of Accountancy, Commerce or Finance.
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail
- Solid grounding in accounting fundamentals
- Good communication skills
- A good listener and can multi task
- Self-motivated and ability to either work autonomously or as part of a team
- Moderate to advanced Excel Skills
- Competent proficiency in Microsoft office
The Company will provide sponsorship of subscription and exam fees to the successful candidate undertaking a professional accounting qualification program (CPA, CA ANZ or equivalent).
