Job Description
An exciting new opening has arisen for a Graduate Lawyer to gain invaluable experience as part of a successful boutique Financial Services compliance and legal firm in Sydney.
You will support the team and perform the following key duties:
- drafting of documents in relation to Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) and Australian Credit Licence applications and compliance;
- preparation of AUSTRAC registration applications for remitters and digital currency exchange providers;
- drafting and updating compliance and legal precedents in accordance with regulatory and legislative changes;
- assisting senior staff members in the preparation of various legal documents and agreements;
- assisting senior staff with ongoing compliance and legal requirements of clients;
- preparing and filing a variety of documents with regulators;
- liaising with clients at the request of senior staff members; and
- general administrative tasks including answering telephone calls (as required).
Desired Skills and Experience
You will:
- be admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales;
- have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal as well as strong interpersonal skills;
- have strong attention to detail;
- be team-focused but also able to work independently;
- be proactive and have a positive and energetic approach with a commitment to providing excellent service; and
- have a strong academic record and a genuine interest in developing your career in the legal industry
