Job description
Would you like to work for a friendly and sociable company in North Sydney?
Are you confident with your ability to organise teams and hitting deadlines?
Don't inherit a mess - training and handover from the current bid coordinator
Why is this role for you?
You are very confident using InDesign and you’ve worked on tenders or bids with deadlines in some capacity previously.
You’ve always wanted to get your foot in the door within the construction sector as you’ve heard that it’s a fun challenge where each day is different – and you’d be right.
You’ll get the chance to learn new things and pick up new skills from a director who looks to get the best out of each of his employees.
Using InDesign you will initially be given a handover and training from the current bid coordinator, so you’ll be able to hit the ground running and shown exactly what you need to do to be a success. No second guessing yourself here.
You’d be able to work from both home and the office once you’ve settled in and the working hours are flexible as long as you are hitting those tender deadlines.
As a company of 30 there is a friendly, close-knit culture where you will soon get to know everyone and they do regular social events around their office in North Sydney.
Salary would be in the $80-$100k package range plus bonus and this will increase through yearly appraisals.
Tell me more about the company
They are a company that is in very safe hands. The 4 hands-on directors know the fit-out sector inside out from working previously with a large well-known builder and after 11 years they are well-established and respected.
By taking the pros from their previous company and leaving behind the cons they have set up a business that is profitable and successful where their staff love to work. Staff turnover is extremely low and they made no redundancies during the dark days of covid.
Based in North Sydney you’d be close to public transport and be right by tonnes of local amenities which is ideal as they often go for drinks and lunches together.
It’s a great place to learn new skills, enjoy different challenges and to celebrate success like winning tenders so you can see why their team enjoy working there.
How can you be successful as a bid coordinator?
If you can tick these next 3 points then we would love to hear from you. We aren’t expecting the finished article here, in fact, we are keen to train and develop our staff as much as possible.
You will need to know how to use InDesign and Illustrator and be confident of asking others for information that you need for the tenders. So basically, a great verbal communicator.
You love getting into the nitty gritty details and don’t mind the constant pressure of hitting strict deadlines for tenders.
Technical knowledge within the construction sector can be taught on the job but you would need at least 3 years experience of graphic design or working on bids/tenders
I’m intrigued, what’s the next step?
You probably want to know more about the business – its projects, its plans, and its history.
Maybe you’d like to see the detailed jobspec?
