Your primary responsibility will be to lead a team of safety professionals, providing strategic guidance, developing systems, and offering operational support to ensure the attainment of excellence in health, safety, and business resilience throughout our workplaces.Additionally, you will:
- Manage the development, implementation and ongoing compliance to the health and safety governance framework.
- Contribute to business planning and provide advice that reflects our business needs and maintain our position as an industry leader in H&S.
- Actively support managers and supervisors to continually develop their safety leadership skills and ensure ONE HSE Culture Framework is embedded.
- Maintain an up to date understanding of the various regulatory regimes associated with Thiess operations to ensure our systems and practices meet all legal requirements.
- Contribute to and promote improvement ideas and innovation.
About you- Demonstrated experience in leading the development and implementation of IS45001based management systems.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
- Able to demonstrate your ability to provide operational safety support to leaders to enable movement beyond compliance.
- Hold a tertiary qualification in Health and Safety or a related field
