Amora Hotel Riverwalk Melbourne is part of Amora Hotels & Resorts Group with properties in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Thailand.
We are looking to appoint a full-time Events Sales Executive working Tuesday to Saturday, to join our small Events Sales team.
Some of your responsibilities will include.
- To sell & coordinate the hotels conference facilities for weddings, meetings & Events.
- The new Sales Executive with have a focus towards the wedding market.
- To have a creative approach to weddings when conducting site inspections.
- To be fully conversant with the products, packages & capacities of the banquet department to provide professional advice and guidance to prospective clients.
- To take a proactive approach to the sale of the hotel's facilities.
- To liaise closely daily with the Events Sales Manager and where needed other department managers.
- To assist with any event enquiries and complete the necessary quotes in a timely manner, efficiently and professionally.
- To conduct client site inspections when required. You may also be required to work trade shows and wedding expos.
- To complete & finalise Event Orders and distribution to the various hotel outlets.
- To check, follow up & approve payments of events.
- To attend weekly Event Order meetings and any other meetings when required.
- Prior use of the Delphi Sales & Catering System & Opera PMS is an advantage.
