- Contributes to the development and refinement of the global GSSF strategy - including considerations of global standards versus regional customisations to effectively and efficiently deliver customers needs.
- Actively participates in the senior leadership team, shaping and influencing the global and regional operating models based on global needs, regional insights and strategic analysis.
- Represents APAC customer needs and strategies in the global GSSF leadership forum
- Strategically assesses regional needs and operational performance to identify and prioritise improvement opportunities. Is the custodian of the Regional Optimisation Roadmap (and associated initiative funnel)
- Oversees operational delivery of finance shared services (Invoice to Pay, Record to Report, Cash Management, and Travel & Expense) within the APAC region, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, service excellence, and innovation.
- Champions inspirational leadership, management development, and staff wellness initiatives, fostering a high-performance culture and building a resilient, capable team.
- Supports the Head of GSS Finance in identifying Finance Services' initiatives to enhance value in the Australia region for all services lines
- Be the focal point for issues and complaints regarding the GSS APAC FS customer service and/or delivery and manage the flow of information and communication between the Service line teams and other the business.
- Manages relationships with key Business partners, external vendors and relevant stakeholders across the business
- Set the standards for delivering a high-performance culture across the teams
- Degree in a relevant finance discipline (essential) with post graduate qualifications advantageous
- Previous demonstrated experience managing a finance or shared services function in a large complex organisation
- Relevant experience managing operational service delivery teams of various sizes and complexity.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, capable of inspiring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams Proven track record of establishing, building and managing high-performing Services delivery teams in a global context
- Demonstrated ability to transcend between strategic thinking and operational excellence with a focus on quality, control and execution.
- Ability to build relationships at all levels and work in collaboration with other internal departments through virtual and face to face interaction
- Knowledge and experience in driving performance delivery and productivity (KPIs, incentives, motivation,rewards etc)
- Experience in managing specialist resources such as Optimisation, Continuous Improvement, projects, and technical resources.
- Previous experience working in established ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Knowledge of financial accounting standards and legislation
