Bean Culture Coffee is a small coffee roasting business that specialises in roasting coffee beans, providing wholesale beans to various cafes and businesses, serving coffee & refreshments at corporate events and also has a beautiful, fresh, modern café open 6 days a week.
Bean Culture currently has a vacancy for a Head chef/Cook in the café. Our menu is currently a typical cafe affair with a focus on ‘grab-and-go’ offerings and simple but delicious dine in plates. We're looking for someone who is innovative and creative to take our food to the next level!
Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations
- Preparation and design of our café menu – must have a strong passion for delivering exceptional food and customer service
- Implementation of weekly specials, seasonal menus and exciting dishes
- Cost control and inventory management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others
- Maintain a clean & hygienic workspace, complying with and enforcing sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Catering experience advantageous
- Culinary training - minimum 2 years experience
Hours to be negotiated (minimum 3 days up to 6 days a week available). You must be available to work Saturdays (half day). No night work or split shifts are required.
