AddressWe are seeking an expert Senior Manager to drive eBay Australia’s P&A Category Strategy and Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating a team and leading the strategic planning, development, and execution of the P&A category within eBay.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives.
- Ensure you are across category news, and actively networking within industry to enhance our understanding of the market and competitive landscape. Conduct market research and provide insightful analytics in order to refine eBay’s category positioning. Use these tools to enhance our understanding of the customer journey and inform category decisions.
- Own the P&A team to capture, analyse, and present seller and buyer insights obtained through demonstrating market research tools, eBay’s own data dashboards and liaising with global colleagues.
- Develop both Buyer and Seller pricing strategies that meet both LMO and promotional requirements, while also driving category growth.
- Represent eBay AU P&A initiatives with global and International colleagues to ensure collaborative ways of working and alignment of resources and Planning.
- Conduct supply and inventory gap analysis, and identify opportunities for growth in collaboration with the Acquisition and Account Management teams.
- Develop partnerships with key industry partners to support category growth.
- Identify category strategic projects related to Product and Policy, such as Fitment, Trust gaps, and Shipping.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to create initiatives that support category growth, and ensure that any category-related campaigns are aligned with eBay’s overall marketing strategy.
- Lead as Product Marketing expert the launch of new features and experience changes.
- Serve as eBay AU’s industry expert and media spokesperson for category topics.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in a strategic planning or Category Management role, with P&A industry understanding – particularly with regard to Fitment and onsite experiences..
- Solid analytical, critical thinking, and project management skills.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Strong ability to influence partners and collaborate on cross-functional teams.
- Strong ability to gather and analyse data to form insights and recommendations.
- Experience in E-commerce.
