About the role
Our Head of Health Services will provide operational and strategic management for all Health Services and work units linked to the Wellness Hubs in BVAC Australia, including strategic leadership of clinical services, oversight of the medical and allied Health Services management and Health Services commercial outcomes. The Head of Health Services will be part of the Quality Leadership Team and will be accountable for all the operations of the wellness hubs, having a direct impact on the 2024 BVAC AU Quality strategy plan.

In this role, you will:
- Lead the strategy and development of the wellness hub services across multi designated work units
- Be a process owner, accountable for change of high level service delivery improvement through the development and implementation of policy knowledge, evaluation of quality improvement activities within homes, and across BVAC wellness hubs and wider multi-professional teams.
- The role will be the chair of the credentialling committee, which is responsible for monitoring credentialling across clinical roles and that appropriate experience and training support the scope of clinician practice
- In conjunction with the Quality Leadership Team, the role will be accountable for developing strategic and operational plans, recruitment and selection and strategic workforce management of the Wellness Hubs.
- The role will be responsible for influencing and driving the implementation of BVAC cross functional changes across the Wellness Hubs team.
- Provide authoritative counsel across a range of clinical areas to supervisors, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding professional clinical standards, workforce issues and clinical service development to inform strategic level management processes, and enhance teamwork and clinical outcomes.
- Apply broad advanced level consultancy services, utilising advanced level clinical judgement and informed by evidence-based practice, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, to improve clinical services.
- Actively maintain professional development for own professional standards and also to enhance the skills and knowledge of the wellness hub and wider multi-professional teams.
- Adheres to all internal and external policy and regulation by Influencing clinical based decisions to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, professional standard, and guidelines are followed across the Wellness Hubs
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Bachelor of Health Science or equivalent
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing a multidisciplinary team in the clinical setting
- Extensive proven track record in delivering quality clinical care
- Excellent clinical assessment skills
- Care planning capabilities
- Highly effective communication and relationship management skills
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Excellent communicator and coach
